Short Biography

Dr. Dursun Balkan received his BSc in Industrial Engineering Department at Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey in 2006. He received his MSc in 2009 and PhD degree in 2016 in Industrial Engineering Department at Gazi University with TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) scholarship. He also received his second degree in Public Administration from Anadolu University at Faculty of Economics in 2015. He started his professional career at the National Productivity Center in 2007 as Productivity Specialist. In 2011, he worked as an Industry and Technology Specialist at the General Directorate for Productivity of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. In 2017, he became an Institution Representative of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology at State Information Coordination Center of Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. He has given various cources, consultancy services and researches in various level at public and private enterprises. He has also participated in many meetings, trainings and workshops related to his expertise field at international organizations.

Short Biography

Dr. Başak Gever graduated from Karadeniz Technical University with honors degree in Statistics and Computer Science in 2008. During her undergraduate studies, she took courses from the Department of Informatics at Eszterhazy Karoly University (Hungary) as an Erasmus scholar. Afterwards, she completed MSc and PhD programs in the Department of Industrial Engineering at TOBB University of Economics and Technology with full scholarship, respectively in 2011 and 2017. During her PhD, she studied at the University of Edinburgh in the School of Mathematics as a visiting researcher. After working at Defence Technologies Engineering Inc. as an Expert of Artificial Intelligence Engineer, she started to work as an Assist. Prof. Dr. in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association in 2019.

Short Biography

Dr. Ceylan Yalçın was born in Ankara in 1989. She graduated from Gazi University department of mathmatics with honors degree. She was granted TUBITAK scholarships for international and national graduate studies at the same year. She completed her MSc and PhD studies in the Mathmatics Department of TOBB University of Economics and Technology with full scholarship , respectively 2012 and 2017. From 2010 to 2014 she assisted several courses at TOBB ETU. Since September of 2019, she has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industial Engineering at University of Turkish Aeronautical Association She is married and mother of 1 child.

Short Biography

Dr. Durdu Hakan Utku, received his BS degree from the Business Administration Department at Turkish Military Academy in 1992 and completed System Engineering program in 1998. He received his MSc in Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University in 2000 and Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering at Gazi University in 2016. He worked as an instructor in industrial engineering at Turkish Military Academy between 2000-2003 and as a project manager between 2006-2014 at the Turkish Land Forces HQ. Since April 2017, Dr. Utku, has been working for Industrial Engineering Department of University of Turkish Aeronautical Association as an Assistant Professor.

Short Biography

Dr. Kasımoğlu received his graduate degree in system engineering at Turkish Military Academy in 1997. He got his M.S. degree with a scholarship in Operations Research at Naval Post Graduate School/California/USA in 2002. In 2015, he received his PhD degree in Operations Research from Defense Sciences Institute, Turkish Military Academy, with his thesis supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). Involving in various projects and analysis in Turkish Military, Dr. Kasımoğlu took role in NATO Joint Force Command/Italy as manning analyst between 2013 and 2016. Having been in roles as an instructor at Turkish Military Academy, a visiting academic at Cyprus International University and Asst. Prof. at Dogus University, Dr. Kasımoğlu has been working as Asst. Prof. in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association since 2020.

Short Biography

Dr. Selami BAYEĞ was graduated from Abant İzzet Baysal University with high honour degree in Mathematics in 2008.

In 2009, he was received an acceptance from the EURHEO (European Masters of Engineering Rheology) integrated master program by being qualified to receive the Erasmus Mundus scholarship. After successfully completing the compulsory field courses in the Department of Material Science at Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) in 2009, in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at University of Minho (Portugal) in 2010 and in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) in 2011, he received his master's degrees from each of the departments.

In 2012, he was accepted to the doctorate program in the Department of Mathematics at TOBB University of Economics and Technology. He received his doctorate in Applied Mathematics in 2018. From 2013 to 2018, he was assigned for recitations of different courses in the Department of Mathematics at TOBB University of Economics and Technology.

From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at TOBB University of Economics and Technology. Since 2020, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Turkish Aeronautical University.
